Procedures for Requesting Records 1. Once a boy reaches his Life Rank the unit leader may request from the council Registration department an Eagle Scout Application generated from ScoutNet with a list of all merit badges. 2. This Application may be faxed or emailed or you may pick it up at the council office. 3. Look over the application to make sure everything is correct and all merit badges are listed. 4. If there is anything missing or anything that needs corrections, please bring or send to council the corrections on TroopMaster or you may bring in the copy of the advancement reports turned in, or a copy of the Scouts blue cards. 5. The records will then be updated into ScoutNet Procedure before and after the Lorri Rudasill is the new Registrar for South Florida Council. Her phone number is (305) 364-0020 ext. 222, e-mail address: lrudasill@sfcbsa.org This is the current Eagle Application Process Status as notified by the South Florida Council Advancement Committee: a) The workbooks do no longer have to be taken to the Registrar's office.
c) A "computer-issued" work copy of the Eagle Scout application, containing all the information on record at South Florida Council, may be obtained by calling, Faxing or e-mailing the request to Lorri. This process may take up to one hour and the application may be faxed, e-mailed, or picked-up in person at the South Florida Council office. d) If, upon receipt of the "computer-issued" work copy of the Eagle Scout application, omissions are noted, you may contact Lorri with your comments and an updated application will be printed. This process may take up to 24 hours. e) The Eagle Scout certificates and presentation kits will no longer be held at the South Florida Council office waiting to be picked up by the Units' leaders. Upon receipt of the certificates and kits, the Eagle Scouts' families will be notified by phone. After that, the certificates and presentation kits may be picked up by either a member of the family or an adult member of the unit. It is just the notification that goes to the families and not the units' leaders. I strongly suggest that, if you need to visit with Lorri, to discuss any matters related to advancement records and/or Eagle Scout applications, that you call her in advance with your specific request. At times she may produce documentation on demand but she may serve you bette having the information by the time of your visit, rather than having you waiting at the office. These changes in the process are effective immediately. For better information, if you have a specific question that has not been addressed to, or need additional information, I suggest that you call Lorri Rudasill directly. That way you will obtain the "official" answer. |
